This nationally recognised High Risk Work Licence unit is designed to provide you with high-quality, hands-on and industry-specific training in line with WHS legislation, manufacturer specifications, and workplace requirements. Course Delivery
Scheduling higher training can be challenging when you have existing work demands to work around, so we offer a flexible, blended learning model that combines online or classroom theory with hands-on practical training using industry-standard forklift trucks. The theory component of this course is completed online, allowing students to study at their own pace and from home prior to attending practical training.
Practical training and assessment are delivered in a single day at our Brisbane Headquarters in Virginia. During this session, participants receive hands-on training using industry-standard forklift trucks before completing a practical assessment to demonstrate safe and competent operation. Generally, one to two students are assigned per machine to maximise operating time and individual instruction.
Pre-Requisites for Undertaking TLILIC0003
There are no formal training pre-requisites for this course. However, participants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age to apply for the High Risk Work Licence.
- Have sufficient English literacy and numeracy skills to read load charts, follow instructions, complete written assessments, and perform basic calculations.
- Possess a sound understanding of workplace safety.
What You Need to Succeed
While there are no prerequisites for this course, there are some things that participants must do in order to successfully complete the course and receive their certification:
- Attend and participate in all theory and practical training sessions.
- Successfully complete the National Assessment Instrument (NAI), which includes written and practical assessment components.
- Provide current photo identification and a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).
- Wear suitable PPE, including high-visibility clothing, safety boots, gloves, and eye protection.
- Demonstrate safe behaviour and compliance with WHS requirements during all activities.
