Premier Earthmoving Essentials Bundle
The Premier Earthmoving Essentials Bundle is a nationally recognised, industry-driven program designed to build both practical skills and theoretical knowledge in operating multiple types of civil construction plant.
This clustered course allows participants to achieve competency in four key units, blending core earthmoving operations with essential skills for safely loading and unloading plant and equipment on worksites.
Ideal for those entering the civil construction industry, expanding their existing plant qualifications, or improving employability, this course prepares individuals for roles in earthmoving, road construction, and infrastructure projects.

Course Delivery
This course combines online theory with practical, hands-on training. The online theory component takes approximately four hours to complete, allowing students to progress at their own pace before attending a full day of practical training and assessment at our Virginia Training Centre.
Practical sessions, available Monday to Thursday and occasionally on Saturdays, use industry-standard equipment in a realistic, site-like environment. Small group sizes and one-on-one instruction ensure personalised training and ample machine operating time.
Onsite training for employers can also be arranged, provided suitable equipment, facilities, and site conditions are available.
Pre-Requisites for This Training Course
There are no formal prerequisites for this course. However, participants are recommended to:
- Be at least 18 years old (for site work).
- Possess sufficient English literacy and numeracy skills to read documentation, follow instructions, and complete workplace records.
- Have a basic understanding of WHS procedures related to construction and plant operation.
What You Need to Succeed

- Attend and participate in all theory and practical training sessions.
- Demonstrate safe and effective operation of the excavator in line with industry standards.
- Provide photo identification and a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).
- Wear appropriate PPE, including high-visibility clothing, gloves, hard hat, eye protection, and safety boots.
- Be physically capable of performing excavation tasks and working in outdoor environments.

- Structured Training Program – A program covering the planning, operation, and shutdown of civil construction plant in compliance with WHS legislation, site-specific procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Workplace Compliance – Training aligned with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, site traffic management protocols, and industry best practices to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Industry-Quality Equipment – Training conducted in real-world environments with advanced civil construction plant equipment, providing authentic, practical experience.
- Certification – Upon successful completion, participants receive four Statements of Attainment under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), certifying their competency in operating multiple plant items and managing loading/unloading tasks.
- Pathway to Career Advancement – This course enhances career opportunities by equipping participants with specialised skills for advanced civil construction plant operations.
